Passkeys

A passkey lets you sign in to Moinho ID without waiting for a magic-link email. It uses your device’s built-in security — Touch ID, Face ID, Windows Hello, or a hardware security key.

Why use a passkey?

  • Faster — one tap or biometric check instead of opening email
  • Secure — tied to your device; phishing-resistant
  • Same account — your passkey signs you into Moinho ID, which the customer portal uses

How to add a passkey

Passkeys are managed through Moinho ID account settings, not inside the customer portal itself.

  1. Sign in to the customer portal (or any Moinho service using Moinho ID).
  2. When Moinho ID offers account settings, or when prompted after first setup, choose Add a passkey (or open Update your Moinho ID if you see that option during an identity flow).
  3. Follow your browser or device prompts to create the passkey.
  4. Next time you sign in, Moinho ID will offer passkey authentication. If you use a passkey, the magic-link email is skipped.

Device-specific

You can add passkeys on multiple devices (phone, laptop). Each device registers its own passkey.

Signing in with a passkey

  1. Go to /customer/loginSign in with Moinho ID.
  2. If a passkey is available, choose Sign in with a passkey or approve the browser’s passkey prompt.
  3. Complete the biometric or PIN check on your device.

Lost device?

If you lose a device that had your passkey, you can still sign in with a magic link to your email. Contact us if you need help securing your account.
