Community polls
Community polls let members vote on shared decisions — for example office temperature preferences or other choices staff put to a specific audience.
Polls appear in a Community polls panel at the top of the Community tab (/customer/community), above the chat iframe. The panel is collapsible (Show / Hide).
For chat and the Spotify playlist on the same page, see Community.
When you see polls
A poll section appears only when all of the following are true:
- Staff have an active poll instance open
- You are in the poll’s audience (for example members with a desk booked today, or another group staff configured)
- You are signed in to the customer portal
If you do not see any polls, either none are running or you are not in that poll’s audience.
How voting works
Each poll shows a title, optional description, and either choice options or a numeric input, depending on how staff configured it.
Single-choice polls
Pick one option (for example warmer / cooler / fine for AC). Options are shown as radio buttons.
Integer polls
Enter a number within the range staff set (with an optional unit label, such as °C).
Continuous vs timed polls
| Type | Behaviour |
|---|---|
| Continuous polls | Your choice is saved as soon as you select it or enter a value. You can change your vote anytime while the poll is open. |
| Timed / one-off polls | Choose your answer, then click Submit vote. You may see a Closes date and time on the poll. |
Staff may also run recurring polls on a schedule; you see the current open instance on the Community page.
Live results
Some polls show live results as members vote (counts, averages, or the leading option). Others hide results until the poll closes — that depends on how each poll was set up.
