Hi, we're John and Beth. We moved to Barreiro from the UK and both worked remotely. We liked living here, but working from home made it hard to meet people nearby.

We opened Moinho Novo so we could work alongside other people in Barreiro. It's a place to concentrate, have a chat over coffee, and get to know the people you share a desk with.

Barreiro was once one of Portugal's most important factory towns. The name Moinho Novo is a nod to that history. Our logo comes from the pavement pattern on Avenida Alfredo da Silva.

You'll probably meet Nala too. She's our Portuguese rescue dog and likes to greet everyone who comes in.
